About Informatics at UB
Informatics is an interdisciplinary study of the design, application, and use of information technology going beyond purely technical aspects to focus on the relationship between information and technology and provide a human-centered perspective to information-technology system design in real-world settings. A key condition for the effective use of technology is that people involved in designing, developing, and evaluating technology tools and applications have a strong understanding of the interaction between technology and social, cultural, and organizational settings as well as facility with technology.
