About Communication at UB

The department's goal is to provide students with a comprehensive knowledge of the nature of human communication, the symbol system by which it occurs, its media, and its effects. The program stresses a growing emphasis on the emergence and impact of new communication technologies, with information systems and delivery systems, and with interpersonal, social, and mass networks.
